What grew to become the Voth’s Countrywide of today began quite modestly in the 1950’s when John Voth opened a general store in Herbert, Saskatchewan. Not long afterward, the business evolved into a hardware store and then into a plumbing supply shop. In 1988, John Voth's sons took over the business and added appliances and electronics to its product offerings. They also moved the store to Swift Current. In the year 2000, another major change occurred when they purchased a 10,000 sq. ft. show room.

From our humble beginnings to the present, Voth’s Countrywide has always been family-run and independent. However, as a member of BrandSource, Countrywide and Audio Video Unlimited, we have the same huge purchasing power as a big box store, which ensures that you won’t pay more for the same top name brands you know and trust.
